Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

An MSK scan would be utilised to examine soft tissue, bone joint and muscle conditions such and tendonitis, bursars, tennis elbow, effusion, hernias and lipomas as well as other musculoskeletal pathology.

Anatomy Examined

Soft tissue and abdominal wall, including - lumps/bumps and joint, tendon and muscle pathology and examinations to detect abdominal and inguinal hernias. 

Preparing for your Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

You will need to expose the intended body part during the scan as the ultrasound requires skin contact with the probe, so please wear loose fitting clothing.

No other preparation is needed.
