Why Have a Private Scan?

Even though all local GPs in West Kent, Medway, and Swale areas can refer you to us there may be times when perhaps you are unable to see a GP, have been waiting a long time for your scan appointment elsewhere, or the type of scan or age of patient prevents our service from accepting you for a scan under NHS contracts.

For example, all contracts have an exclusion criteria for patients under the age of 18. Other exclusions are Thyroid scans, general scans of the neck, or Axilla (armpit).

For all private patients we will provide a copy of your report either via secure email the same day, or a paper copy after the scan, if you wish we can also send a copy of your report to your GP.

If you would like us to forward your report to the GP on your behalf, we would require you to provide the GP details for us to do so.

How do I make an appointment?

Please do not pay for a scan until you have contacted us as ultrasound may not be appropriate for your health concerns.

You will be asked to explain your health concerns and if ultrasound is appropriate then we can make an appointment and take a payment over the phone. Any preparation needed for the scan and directions to the clinic will be given to you and a text with these details will also be sent to your mobile.

Please note that cancellations will incur a 20% charge that will be deducted from the refund.
